Re: Switch from Dropbear to OpenSSH without other changes

Interesting. I may have read it wrong, but I thought all the v6 images were based on Stretch. For DietPi in general NO (for now). All Odroid devices will stay on Jessie for the moment ( yet ) Why? Please seach forum or read on github. For DietPi RPi builds YES and NO. DietPi RPi Stretch build start...

Re: Internet dns-nameserver issue

I can go in and change the nameserver FROM 127.0.0.1 TO 8.8.8.8 in /etc/resolv.conf This does give me internet availability until I reboot, Then the file is overwritten. Correct. Have you read , what is written in /etc/resolv.conf !?! root@DietPi:~# cat /etc/resolv.conf # Dynamic resolv.conf(5) fil...

Hi Ben,

If you think, Debian Stretch is your problem , you can give Debian Jessie based Raspberry Pi version a try.

Hope it will help.

Re: Switch from Dropbear to OpenSSH without other changes

Hi, This is on a Raspberry Pi Zero W running headless, and running v146 of DietPi (yes I know it's old). It's okay. You can keep it and stay on it. It's not the part of your problem. based on a third party image created by Andreas Spiess using Peter Scargill's "Christmas Script", Yes, I have hear of...

Re: Pihole no longer in optimized software?

Hi kaptain_zero, I'll be putting the Odroid aside until it's sorted out. It doesn't actually do anything else. I just wish I had the original install which could have been left alone until this got sorted out. Yes, you can get your Odroid with DietPi v6.2 back to work with pi-hole. Pi-hole v...

Re: Pihole no longer in optimized software?

Surely the issue is with Stretch not Jessie? It is a problem with supported / provided version of dnsmasq by Debian Jessie: https://packages.debian.org/jessie/dnsmasq root@DietPi-v159:~# dnsmasq -v Dnsmasq Version 2.72 Copyright (c) 2000-2014 Simon Kelley Kompilierungs-Optionen IPv6 GNU-getopt DBus...

Re: Minor Bug: Midnight commander line characters

Hi, The workaround script for 6.2 from the github issue works like a charm for me (Pi0, putty). Thanks for your feedback. Nice to hear it will now work for you (with Dropbear SSH Sever). Wow thank you, that was surprisingly complicated, wasn't it? For me? No, I was only lecturer, protagonist, tester...

Re: MCE Remote mapping with Kodi (RPi3)

Hi, Also, I'm curious about how is working the remote just with plug&play without lirc installed... If you have a original "Microsoft MCE Remote" with a "Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver" it is a HID device (Human Interface Devices). Such as a keyboard or mouse. It work as same as you will hit k...
