Re: Boot Dietpi from USB?

Hi jedisha, Yes, you can run your DietPi system and all installed software from USB drive. But to boot your RPi, you must have insert SD-Card any time. Without RPi will not boot. ( /boot/... must be on /dev/mmcblk0p1 ) I would suggest, before you will change your root device, to Benchmarks your new ...

Re: Odroid C2 - 300MB gone (RAM)

Hi filemoon, Can we arrange other memory split/kernel config for headless option (is sad that 300MB is gone). DietPi for Odroid C2 is currently based on Meveric's excellent Debian Jessie (arm64) image and he said no (at the moment). http://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=138&t=19403&p=137079#p13648...

Re: Reboot / halt not working

Hi shlagwuk, http://i.imgur.com/gD0sy5F.gif?1 are you really "root" user? Doesn't look like that for me (missing '"#" ). ">" looks like C-shell not like bash. http://i.imgur.com/eDZkXTJ.gif Can you please try: root@dietpi3:~# whoami root@dietpi3:~# sudo reboot # or root@dietpi3:~# sudo su # and now ...

Re: Odroid C1+ | Issue to setup WLAN device

Hi, have to open a github ticket. You can read the story here, but be warned, it's long: DietPi-System | C1+ | Issue to setup WLAN device #273 Upshot: @Fourdee never give up, he did a great job and finally he get it on work in DietPi v116 (testing). :D as well @Fourdee implement same new features, e...

Odroid C1+ | Issue to setup WLAN device

Hi, to make a long story short. I fiddling around with a lot USB Wireless adapters to get it on work with a C1+ and DietPi. No one will work on C1+ with DietPi. To be sure, tested all adapters on Win 7 (64bit), they all work well. Most of them have manufacturer driver for Windows, Mac and Linux. USB...

Re: Setting up WiFi over SSH, without using DietPi-config

Hi, I Guess I'll have to wait until an update is available. I Don't want to switch to WPA. Switching to WPA will not solve your problem. Change channels will do it. If possible, let your router set channel by itself. ( http://goo.gl/Edafoi ) Is it RPi3 with build-in Wifi or RPi with USB Wifi dongle?...

Re: stop screen from blanking

Hi, Do you think there would be an issue with adding this to the dietpi-software automated install logic? like, around line dietpi-software:4630, if we are entering automation, disable screen blanking until next reboot.. hmm, if you will do, please only for RPi. It may work (not tested), but not on ...

Re: netdata - Real-time performance monitoring

Hi Rob,
Any interest? If so, I'll add it as a feature request and start working on it...
Do quick look at the features list. Sounds great. Lovely eye candy screenshots, really nice. In my opinion give it a try.
