Re: Moving SD card and external connected drive to Pi4

A new version of rpi-eeprom has been released which fixes the issue. So apt update && apt upgrade && rpi-eeprom-update should solve it.

Re: Wrong time after power off

I hope there is a local time server, e.g. the router itself? Not uncommon and recommended especially for larger local networks so that not each and every client needs to sync with public time servers, which unnecessarily increases their load and sync time for all clients. If otherwise network connec...

Re: Please Add OPENHAB to optimized softwares

A single person + awesome team and community members I have to say. Yes coding is done mostly by me currently, so any contribution is highly appreciated, especially when it comes to new software titles, as for me it has priority to keep the implementations up-to-date that we already support. That is...

Re: Boot from SD

Jep, especially on x86_64 it is not trivial to move the root partition from a live system. Basically grub bootloader needs to be installed from scratch, and I'm not sure if this can be done to an external drive for the current root drive, with changed UUIDs etc. Aside of flashing the DietPi image to...

Re: Custom .bashrc

Many thanks for your feedback and suggestion. However, I'm afraid if we implement this, the next suggestion to allow a custom .profile or custom rc.local or systemd unit or any other config file appears. All this will be then used by 1 to 2 users, okay let's say 20 after a while, but the code overhe...

Re: G_INTERACTIVE=0 Will turn off user input for any dietpi command

Jep G_INTERACTIVE is the direct replacement for G_USER_INPUT for a while. Within cron jobs it should though not be required as it's set to 0 automatically when non input terminal is found (STDIN is no terminal => [ -t 0 ] returns false). Same for systemd services. But it doesn't hurt to set it. If s...

Re: Problem with v6.32.2

Many thanks for reporting! Yes indeed, applying some general coding quality standards broke the coretemp file path expansion in this case. I just fixed it: https://github.com/MichaIng/DietPi/commit/d6a170de2b3f865c848d9ae0884e5a1fd93df6e6 In your /boot/dietpi/func/dietpi-globals you need to remove t...

Re: Odroid N2+

From what I know it should work fine, but with N2 (non-plus) CPU frequency and lacking the hardware features that differ from N2. dietpi-update errors should not happen, if so, please paste the error log here or at best open an issue on GitHub: https://github.com/MichaIng/DietPi/issues
