Re: dietpi-boot.service taking 40+ seconds on rpi3B and pinea64

Does the router serve logs about the NTP requests and/or newly connected devices? The question is how fast it "accept" requests for both, NTP requests and internet connections from newly connected devices. The prior done network connecting check within dietpi-boot only checks for an applied default ...

Re: dietpi-boot.service taking 40+ seconds on rpi3B and pinea64

Indeed that is long. It is with internal Ethernet adapter, static IP (DHCP disabled) and Gateway as NTP server?

Could you check journalctl about related kernel and systemd messages during boot?

Re: Using PREP_SYSTEM_FOR_DIETPI

It will never be 100% stable since we need to do quite some system changes, depending on the pre-image and if it is very customized, some manual tinkering can be required. But I agree we need some updated manual on the wiki. Will do that when I find time. For the image creation we use (from an exter...

Re: Fresh nextcloud install failed

It seems like there has been an attempt to enable mpm_event with php-fpm. Do the following: a2dismod mpm_event # If it prints an error that other modules depend on mpm_event, disable them the same way first a2enmod mpm_prefork a2enmod php7.3 # If it still shows php7.3 module missing, try to reinstal...

Re: Fresh nextcloud install failed

snoodler Ah okay, Apache2. Did you install+configure php7.3-fpm manually? Since on default install Apache2 uses its default internal PHP handler (mod-php), hence php7.3-fpm is not required. So you could clean up things and assure the Apache2 PHP module being active: apt install libapache2-mod-php7....

Re: Python upgrade

Panzermann Not sure if you want your login user (or root) to activate the pyenv environment and even if so, if you want to have the pyenv activated throughout all the shell session? I would in every case create a script which contains pyenv activation and starts the software, this script can then b...

Re: dietpi-boot.service taking 40+ seconds on rpi3B and pinea64

Joulinar Did you actually watch it taking that long? Because the timestamps of course change after time sync, usually into the future when last timestamp from last shutdown is restored via fake-hwclock. So it makes sense to boot with display and see DietPi-Run_NTPD do its job, which does an info pr...

Re: DietPi/PiFace/Home Assistant help required

Many thanks for reporting and investigating this issue, guys. I think we should add the HA user to SPI+I2C groups by default, as this is a common use-case. Will be done for v6.29.

Re: Fresh nextcloud instll failed

Interesting, PHP seems to run as expected. To verify again:

Code: Select all

systemctl status php7.3-fpm
In this case probably Lighttpd is not correctly configured to use php7.3-fpm, please paste the output of:

Code: Select all

cat /etc/lighttpd/conf-available/15-fastcgi-php.conf

Re: Python upgrade

Jep, only downside of pyenv is the time cosuming Python compilation, on RPi Zero and similar easily more than an hour.
