Re: Supervise containers with Systemd

Bugfix: Changed ExecStop=/usr/bin/docker stop %n to ExecStop=/usr/bin/docker kill --signal=SIGINT %n Only confirmed with python scripts, but the `docker stop` approach takes seconds to time out and ultimately sends a SIGKILL ∴ no graceful shutdowns. SIGTERM is a keyboard interrupt and lets Python in...

Reboot After Install Inconsistent Behavior

I'm working towards a truly handsfree/headless setup process (and then documenting it as a tutorial). This is the first in a series of questions I'll post here; the conclusion will hopefully be a streamlined, hands-free flash-/initialize-board process. Happy to share what I end up with. Where would ...

Re: Supervise containers with Systemd

I've been experimenting with it. It's quite nice. But, from what I gather, it's not a precise analog/replacement for systemd

Supervise containers with Systemd

I supervise my SCB "services" with systemd. When I wanted to containerize the underlying processes, I had a fair bit of trouble tracking down a simple approach. This method has no dependencies--thought I'd share it. File: /etc/systemd/system/docker.foobar.service [Unit] Description=Docker ...

DietPi Raspberry Pi Zero W Supported?

The Raspberry Pi Zero W (The newest small form Raspberry Pi) does not appear to boot using the latest stock 64-bit image Raspberry Pi image (md5 4ec08dbc27ea2534d939fc9db02c4da2). On power, the Pi's green light flashes 7 times, pauses for a moment, then repeats. From what I've gathered, usually indi...

Re: dropbear & putty, without password

There's a tool for that! It comes with lots of distros. It's here: https://linux.die.net/man/1/ssh-copy-id Get three things, the location of you SSH public key, and your dietpi's user/hostname (e.g. dietpi@abc). For an SSH key at `~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub` and a dietpi with the user/hostname `dietpi@abc`, ...

Re: Accessing Portainer

Hi DietPi folks. First post here (getting up to speed on this ecosystem, great so far). In following the instructions @ https://dietpi.com/docs/software/programming/#portainer , I was also confused as there's no mention of adjusting startup config. Generally, should installs from the dietpi-software...
