Re: RPI ZERO W keeps rebooting

I'll give it a try this weekend and get back to you.

Thanks for the quick response.
FYI I still plan on doing it on the Pi3B+ and see if I have the same issues.

Thanks again,

CJ

Re: RPI ZERO W keeps rebooting

I opened an issue for investigation on github: https://github.com/Fourdee/DietPi/issues/2008 Since it also happened with Lighttpd, I guess it is related to cam firmware/kernel module. We need to check on own RPi (Zero W). Can you catch some error messages on boot? In case you need to enable persist...

Re: DietPi vs Raspbian Lite!

I'm glad everyone is having fun with DietPi. My experience is a bit different. See post https://dietpi.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4346&sid=d8aa99daff4d9ef659765699967550f5 I've installed it on a Pi3 B+ and installed the WifiHotspot and it works great. But my issue is with the PiZero W. Any packa...

Re: Pi Zero W and SSID changing

Thanks for the response. I will definitely check out the install code and other files you mentioned. Yes, the Raspian version of the AP worked great. It was 192.168.1.200 (static) and gave out range 201 to 254. I made the 2 Pi Zero W webcams statics at 192.168.1.201 & 202. I even tested my laptop an...

Re: Pi Zero W and SSID changing

Thanks. Hopefully they will fix the endless rebooting. As for the SSID. My normal network router is 192.168.1.1. The DietPi AP hotspot assigned 192.168.42.1. So basically if I want to access the Zero W which is running off the AP Hotspot I need to make sure they're both on 192.168.1 or 192.168.42 ? ...

Re: Pi Zero W and SSID changing

I'm using Raspian lite not DietPi. I had a post earlier about DietPi keeps rebooting when I install RPI Webcam. OR RealVNC installed. I basically abandoned DietPi OS since no one could help me for the Pi Zero W. The basic answer was always the Power Supply was not strong enough. Which is incorrect s...

Re: Raspberry Pi phone

I've recently read an article not to use SIM900 and SIM800 series in the USA since 2G is phasing out.
The alternative is the more expensive SIM7100E! What are your thoughts on the issue?

Re: Raspberry Pi phone

I don't want the one with the board with the buttons on it. I want to use a touch screen and write my own apps in Python. The ones I've come accross are. https://sixfab.com/product/gsmgprs-shield/?gclid=CjwKCAjwns_bBRBCEiwA7AVGHjxYNZZx0204LkJev4pGSNOZRsv6Hr3kX6aeasxaX-ztka1p0IXxuhoC7pUQAvD_BwE https...
