Re: 64 bit support for Odroid

So, replying to my own post in case anyone else has this particular question.

The Odroid XU4 is based on a 32 bit arm processor so a 64 bit kernel isn't possible on the XU4. The C2 DOES support ARM64, but it's kinda shaky and only has 2GB of ram.

64 bit support for Odroid

Hey all, not sure if there's already a tutorial or whatever that explains this but the short is I have the XU4 with the Cloudshell 2 and 2 drives in it. I'm fortunate enough to have a pair of 10TB drives but I can't format above 8 on each drive since the overall OS seems to be 32 bit. The question i...

Desktop Environments lagging badly on Odroid

Good morning all. So, I installed a fresh run of DietPi for the Xu4 and got everything setup in the CLI with no problems. I then added XFCE to the build and set the login to auto launch and login to the Desktop. So, this part worked fine but once inside, the system started to lag in an extremely dir...

Re: Odroid: - Move the filesystem to a USB Drive

Could this be updated now that the external drive scripts aren't there anymore? I tried to do it manually (XU4) and everything was fine until the first reboot. It would be great if we could get drive-manager to find used or blank USB sticks & SDD's to be setup and used for RootFS.

Thanks

Re: Default Odroid wont stay running

Ok, so still no logs BUT I did notice something interesting. Sonarr seems to be throwing failures intermittently. I am using the developer branch but have gotten the same results with the master branch (release branch). I've tried manually shutting down the thread as well as using dietpi-services an...

Re: Default Odroid wont stay running

Ok, so I've done what's been suggested so far and I'm still getting the same results. I'm still not able to get a log that might indicate what's going on. Just off the top of everyone's heads, what could conceivably be the reason(s) for the lock ups?

Re: Default Odroid wont stay running

Ok, I can do that. Is there a way to find out via log(s) that might indicate that this is the issue?

Default Odroid wont stay running

I'm hoping someone can give me a direction here because I'm basically out of ideas. So I have a new Odroid XU4 that's running the latest DietPi off of a 32GB Emmc. I am using the 6A Odroid power brick to ensure this isn't a power drop issue. I do have a 120GB SSD (Samsung EVO) attached via the USB 3...

Re: CPU temp and governor control?

Just wanted to chime in on something you said. Now there IS a problem here... constantly heating and cooling the solder is a sure way to break something due to a stress fracture and that could conceivably shorten the life of the board. It's the sort of thing that needs careful consideration but I wo...

Request for FOG

I think a great package to be optimized and setup for DietPi would be the FOG imaging system. It would be fantastic to have a completely portable mass imaging system that would be much cheaper to use and best of all, very portable. So, if I need me to buy you a coffee (or 12) to get this added, you ...
