Re: Plexmediaserver trouble after SD card replacement

I guess the web frontend runs but the server backend not. Please check the service status and logs:

Code: Select all

systemctl status plexmediaserver
journalctl -u plexmediaserver

Re: lighttpd Placeholder page on Bullseye issue

We do not enable the blocking page for Pi-hole by default anymore, since it doesn't work well anymore (most ads are HTTPS, where this cannot work) and is about to be removed from Pi-hole as well: https://github.com/pi-hole/pi-hole/pull/3910

Re: Sleep and CPU high after upgrade to 7.7.3 in PC x86_64

The DietPi version has no influence on this. I'm not sure how the sleep mode actually works, if it is an ACPI call or whether this is something that only works from a desktop session via upower or xfce4-power-manager packages. Definitely this is not something I'd expect to work in the middle of a bo...

Re: Still can't get CEC working with Kodi on latest Bullseye Build

A problem may be that Kodi was built against libcec6 from Bullseye, while that one (from Raspbian/Debian) is not compatible with RPi which is why you needed to downgrade to libcec4. So I guess we'd need to rebuild Kodi against this downgraded libcec4 or wait for a libcec6 on the RPi repository: http...

Re: Nginx and PHP using without Database?

Actually it is hidden from the list in favour of the stacks, something I wanted to chance since a long time. You can use the "Seach" option to find "nginx" and "php", or install it via CLI:

Code: Select all

dietpi-software install 85 89
ID 85 is Nginx, 89 is PHP.

Re: Relay FAN

Isn't it an option to use a GPIO which defaults to LOW? I guess the default gpio-fan pin does this and then also is toggled correctly when reaching the break point.

Re: [rpi 4 8gb] Can't start Kodi

Jep when using startkodi on the 64-bit image, it starts Kodi via X server, where this is not an issue. I can however be started as well via GBM on Bullseye, which seems to cause the issue as well with Debian's Kodi build.

Re: Relay FAN

Ah there seems to be a way via config.txt now: https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentation/computers/config_txt.html#gpio-control However, not sure if the gpio-fan overlay will still turn it LOW when the temperature raises above 60°C while you want it HIGH then, or does it only toggle the state, so th...

Re: [rpi 4 8gb] Can't start Kodi

@igor
On the 64-bit image, when you run the following from console (outside of a desktop session):

Code: Select all

kodi --standalone
It fails the same way, doesn't it?

Re: Relay FAN

Not sure if I understand 100%. It does not automatically turn on/off when reaching the defined temperature (including a reasonable hysteresis)? Generally GPIO states can be changed (low level to high level) via RPi.GPIO python module, via WiringPi which ships the gpio command, or via WebIOPi which s...
