Re: because anydesk does not finish updating correctly?

It means that the script /var/lib/dpkg/info/anydesk.postinst failed.

You can check it's content and try to run it manually to see where it fails:

Code: Select all

cat /var/lib/dpkg/info/anydesk.postinst
/var/lib/dpkg/info/anydesk.postinst

Re: IPv6 Settings

Can you show how you added the IPv6 address to /etc/network/interface (you meant I guess?)? It seems there is a conflict with the default IPv6 route which you should resolve instead of muting the error messages (which is not possible on per-message basis but only for all error messages). Usually it ...

Re: Lighttpd with PiHole and additional sites

Since the lighttpd.conf is not what Pi-hole support was expecting, I guess Pi-hole was already installed via dietpi-software, wasn't it? Using /etc/lighttpd/conf-enabled/external.conf will work perfectly fine, or any other file name with .conf ending. To use the Lighttpd tools a little more as inten...

Re: Switch from Pi2b+ to Pi4b

Actually, you can simply plug the RPi2 SD card into the RPi4 and it will boot and work without any further steps. The bootloader is on the EEPROM of the RPi4 chip. It makes sense to update it via dietpi-config > Advanced Options > EEPROM, which also enables a service that checks for updates every bo...

Re: Node Red update and add-ons fail @ DietPi @ Raspberry Pi Zero W

Since the APT package "RPi.GPIO" does not exist, which one was finally installed (probably it's an alias)? "python-rpi.gpio", hence the Python 2 version? Or did you mean pip install RPi.GPIO ? EDIT: Okay known issue: https://github.com/node-red/node-red-nodes/issues/721 The modul...

Re: Node Red update and add-ons fail @ DietPi @ Raspberry Pi Zero W

PR ready: https://github.com/MichaIng/DietPi/pull/4345 I cannot verify whether it fixes the issue with Node v11.15.0 on ARMv6, since with that version on my systems even fresh bare Node-RED does not work, so it seems to cause more fundamental issues there, including a bunch of warning during compila...

Great guide. Something for our install docs, I think: https://dietpi.com/docs/install/ :)

Re: WAN IP : curl: (28) Operation timed out

If we knew an API of your router of ISP, it would be probably possible to get the WAN IP without an external website. But there is no generic method at least that we could use. However, https://ifconfig.co/ has become unsuitable for other reasons as well. It applied a strict rate limiting, so using ...
