Re: DietPi-Login | Failed to load DietPi-Globals

acostas Looks like, last log file entry is about storing scripts to disk on shutdown, but nothing about copying them to RAMdisk on boot, even that the DietPi tmpfs was mounted successfully. If indeed SDcard is R/O, please check: - dmesg for any probably helpful error logs. - Run fsck -f /dev/mmcblk...

Re: Nextcloud, Pi-hole and the default page

krtpowa Thanks for your kind feedback. Jep about the admin panel it is now asked during install. The Pi-hole installer requires much manual input anyway, one more question does not hurt much :D. Some use unbound as local DNS resolver to be used by Pi-hole then. So unbound e.g. listens to 5353 and P...

Re: VPN providers for DietPi

ghettopi Not every single one, but in case of rosemartine I agree, at least about being a NordVPN advertiser, although at least transparent from the profile "Interests: Digital Marketing". Sorry rosemartine , we removed other users for the same reason. Even that we promote NordVPN ourselves in this...

Re: Backup / Sync solution?

Hmm, webmin can do backups as well, with web UI, scheduling, local or external targets, looks like what you want on first sight. However it offers much more other things, so not that slim simple solution that you are looking for.

Re: DietPi installation stats, which device is popular?

megusta Many thanks for sharing. There are not hardware differences between LTS and non-LTS version right? At least the specifications don't show differences. There is a very slow CPU bench upload that probably pulls down the average of this device. I will remove it and see if this fits better to w...

Re: Raspberry pi as a vpn router

Generally the vulnerabilities are exactly the two software titles that you have installed: The WiFi hotspot and the VPN software. The hotspot is implemented with hostapd, and supports WPA2 encryption by default. WPA2 is known to have some security leaks meanwhile, but it is still very widely used, e...

Code needs some cleanup + warning needs to be adjusted (warranty is not void by any of our profiles!), but RPi4 is in.

Re: Overclocking profile for RPi 4

Made some research: Our medium ARM and high GPU profiles match to what was tested on tom's hardware: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/raspberry-pi-4-b-overclocking,6188.html There has been some report about 2000/600 with +5 voltage, but it is as well reported that whether this is stable or not (...

Re: [FIX] Torrents error after reboot

vinanrra Many thanks for sharing. How did you add the related mount before? When using dietpi-drive_manager , an fstab entry is created which "mounts" the drive automatically on boot, earlier then dietpi-services starts Deluge or any other torrent service. I quote "mounts", since actually at least ...
