Re: Tips to optimize Plex Media Server?

Re: RPi 4 USB3 speed issues

Yep...it can take several hundred mA to spin up a drive...

I usually cut and splice in an external 5VDC 2A supply between the SBC and the drive...it's not pretty but it keeps everthing humming along nicely without the flakey operation...

Re: Network speeds and performance/Install super slow 1hr+

Yes a slow SD Card could be annoying 8) Yep...I would bet the SD card is not a good Class I or faster SD card...I always bought those cheapy ones and they ALWAYS sucked...until I got the good SanDisk Ultra Plus with the A1 on it did the response even get close to being "acceptable" and always go wi...

Re: Dietpi Firewall

Honestly the easiest way to setup a "stateful" firewall with pinholes for SSH and (insert other services here) would be to install UFW https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-setup-a-firewall-with-ufw-on-an-ubuntu-and-debian-cloud-server By default the above install allows all out, a...

Re: Trying to run DietPi on a VPS

One of the DEV's should pop in soon

I have never run it in a virtual machine so I don't know how it would work...did you go thru the virtual machine and ensure all the options are set correctly?

Re: Can I move SD card from Pi3 to Pi4?

Here is a testament to how stable Dietpi is, its been so long I forget the shutdown command, and I cannot for the life of me find it now. Is it ok to just pull the power out? never just kill the power...it massively increases the chance of corruption! proper shutdown command is # shutdown -h now
