A few minor issues with Medusa on Pi3

I've previously been running Medusa & Transmission on a Pi Zero, and had issues with it failing to start due to timeouts (discussed elsewhere on this forum). I recently re-installed with a fresh download of Dietpi, this time on a spare Pi3 B. It seems that some required software for Medusa is not au...

Re: Medusa install problems

OK, just discovered it's not always working. I used dietpi-drive-manager to add a networked drive, and when this utility tried to restart the dietpi-services, Medusa failed to start [ SUB1 ] DietPi-Services > start [ OK ] DietPi-Services | start : transmission-daemon [FAILED] DietPi-Services | start...

Re: Medusa install problems

Having started Medusa manually, I used the web interface to let it update itself, then I read the news items under the tools menu. I didn't do any further configuration. I rebooted the Pi Zero W, and now find that Medusa has started up automatically as expected! systemctl status medusa ● medusa.serv...

Re: Medusa install problems

Thanks for the reply. I had doubts about the install yesterday, as I had some hardware issues with a micro-usb hub, so I've freshly downloaded Dietpi and this time configured dietpi.txt to do a headless install. I then SSH'd in, and installed transmission and medusa from dietpi-software, without any...

Re: Medusa install problems

I just tested install here on Stretch VM and service starts up well + web interface opens on port 8081 well. Since it's a raw python script download it should run OS/arch independently, as long as python itself runs fine. But before guessing around, could you paste output of: journalctl -u medusa t...

Medusa install problems

I've been running Dietpi and Sickrage for some time on a Raspberry Pi Zero W, works well aside from increasing issues with Sickrage. So today I thought I'd make a new system with the now-recommended Medusa, and try that out. I downloaded Dietpi 6.21.1 and installed it, configured it to use wifi, hav...

Sickrage update fails on Dietpi 6.16

I have Dietpi 6.16 on a Raspberry Pi Zero that's running Sickrage and Transmission. Yes it's a bit slow, but it does work :) However, I'd noticed that the update function of Sickrage never did anything. Clicking "check for updates" on the web interface would cause it to pause for a bit, and then dis...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 - Wifi adapter "not found"

Hi Ian, I've noticed you are using the testing branch for this installation (v145). The testing branch is active devolpment, potentially unstable and should not be used by end users (aside from testing future updates). [..] I would highly recommend staying with the master branch (default stable), a...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 - Wifi adapter "not found"

Thank you for your help. I have submitted a report, the ticket is 21399fab-13ca-463b-8f40-42462e6d734a-0 (although I thought I saw a "not sent" or similar message flash on the screen before I was presented with this message! Cabled networking is working fine on the pi3. I attach a screenshot of the ...
