Will Dietpi work on an Intel Compute Stick?

Hello,

Will the intel image work on the Intel Compute Stick?

The spec is as follows:
Intel STCK1A32WFC. Processor: Z3735F, Processor frequency: 1.33 MHz,
Internal memory: 2048 MB. Device interface: USB, USB version: 2.0,
USB connector type: USB A. Power source: USB, DC input voltage: 5V.
Internal memory type: DDR3L, Internal storage capacity: 32 GB

Thanks!

B.

The stick uses an Intel Atom with x86_64 and an UEFI bios, so I would try this image https://dietpi.com/downloads/images/DietPi_NativePC-UEFI-x86_64-Bullseye_Installer.7z

if this one is not working, you could try to install a Debian mini iso and run DietPi PREP afterwards https://dietpi.com/docs/hardware/#make-your-own-distribution

Thanks for the suggestion. Would I be able to boot off another drive? I’m a bit worried about possibly bricking my stick.

Thanks for that, but I’m too old. Life is literally too short!

A quick searcg brought me to this: https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-Makers/Boot-the-intel-compute-stick-from-an-usb-stick/m-p/481072

So it should be possible to boot from USB.
