[Tutorial - Outdated] We all need a library - Ubooquity

Less a tutorial and more an awareness and ideally a group building experience on this. Hopefully DietPi includes this in the future

edit by k-plan:
Since v6.10 now Ubooquity is in DietPi-Software List
Like most nerdkins out there I am a reader and have a pile of books (real paper ones) and ever increasing ebook collection. Libraries make good social shares, things you might want ready at hand, etc.

Ubooquity is a comic and book share in a browser solution. Think online book collection - self hosted.
See: http://vaemendis.net/ubooquity/

Screenshots: http://vaemendis.net/ubooquity/static3/screenshots

Requirements: Java 8 (they link to Oracle’s official software - suspecting open source alternatives might work)

Download the zipped file: http://vaemendis.net/ubooquity/static2/download
(currently Ubooquity-2.1.1.zip)

Unzip the Ubooquity-2.1.1.zip file.

Copy the unzipped files to a directory where you want to run this from. Perhaps /opt/ubooquity ?

Use screen or tmux to run this:
java -jar Ubooquity.jar

Default ports are 2202 for the library, 2203 for the administration page.

It’s really simple and no real documentation is required. Intuitive.

I am currently running this on current DietPi release on an Odroid XU4 with a few hundred gigabytes of books.

Looks like Ubooquity has been mentioned here prior
