# Startup error please help

What do I do
I have used rasp pi imager scetcher and rufus to run three different downloads of the current version
I am using a rasp pi 4 b 8gb and a 32gb sd card
This happens starting after I type the username and password (root dietpi) for the first time

You are failing on a very basic internet connection check. Ensure this is working and not blocked somewhere on your local network.
You could exit the error and try to ping anything else like 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8

I don’t believe it’s connected to the internet in the first place and I don’t know how to set that up

this should be done automatically. How does your system is getting an IP address? Usually, it should be assigned via DHCP? Or do you use STATIC IP?

It’s fine now I just had to set it up manually
