# Smb issues macOS27

Hi I was wondering if anyone esle has had a similar issue to me. I just got a new mac with macOS27 on it and I cannot get dietpis smb share of the userdata to mount. It works fine on my macbook which is on macOS 26. I can mount my Qnap nas as well just fine. I can login and it shows be dietpi as the disc then click on it and it crashes and said it could not be found. Its more than likely some quirk of the new macOS but wanted to see if others have had similar. Maybe its time to update to Trixie.

Some users claim this as a workaround:

> Go → Connect to Server… (or press `⌘K`)  
> Then use network address  
> `smb://<IP>/dietpi`

Maybe switching to NFS is an alternative for you?!
