Renice a user (or process) at start

Hi,
since my RPi Zero it’s not superfast, I want to assign to the user “homebridge” an high priority, so I want tried to edit /etc/security/limits.conf with

homebridge hard nice -15

then rebooted, but homebridge user has still a 0 nice

For me it’s the same also to set a -15 to the
homebridge
hb-service

services (that are running only homebridge user of course), but the PID change every boot, so I don’t know how to set the nice at boot.

did you tried using dietpi-services where you could change the CPU Nice value per service?

Oh, I didn’t know of the “dietpi-services”!

Perfect, thanks :sunglasses:

ok good, seems your Zero is under some load now
