Remove a data hard drive and then re-use it again later?

Hi,

I’m using dietpi on native hardware, and I’m planning on doing a wipe and installing Bullseye (I know you can do it manually, but I want to start fresh)
The system is mainly used for Emby and has two hard drives, an SSD for boot (dietpi) and a SATA 6TB (Emby media).

I don’t have a spare hard drive more significant than 6TB. Could I remove the 6TB drive, wipe the SSD, install dietpi Bullseye, re-attach the 6TB drive, mount it, and nothing will be deleted, and it will work fine?

Thanks!

Yes, upon connecting the HD with bullseye, mount the drive normally as you would for a first time, indicating the mounting point.
