# Problems with the Immich installation script

Hello, DietPi team,

I’m having a problem installing Immich width install script:

```auto
- Command: pnpm c set --location=project stateDir /mnt/dietpi_userdata/immich_src/.pnpmState │
                                │ - Exit code: 1 │
                                │ - DietPi version: v10.6.2 (MichaIng/master) | HW_MODEL: 4 | HW_ARCH: 3 | DISTRO: 8 │
                                │ - Error log: │
                                │ [ERR_PNPM_CONFIG_SET_NOT_A_PROJECT_SETTING] The key "stateDir" cannot be set in a project's pnpm-workspace.yaml │
                                │ │
                                │ Set it for the machine instead: pnpm config set --global state-dir  

```

I don’t know what to do. Do you have any ideas?

Looks like they changed behaviour with the release of pnpm 11.22 from August 15th, it can no longer be set with `--location=project`,  
[https://github.com/pnpm/pnpm/releases/tag/v11.22.0](https://github.com/pnpm/pnpm/releases/tag/v11.22.0)

But I’m not sure how to fix this, the you would nees to set `stateDir` now globally, like

```auto
pnpm c set --global state-dir "/some/dir"

```

Looks like this changed from valid to warning to error within a month or so. When we implemented Immich, the command was perfectly accepted. Some weeks ago I saw it started throwing warnings, but without causing an error, now it errors out.

As a quick fix your end:

```sh
sudo sed -i '/pnpm c set --location=project stateDir/d' /boot/dietpi/dietpi-software

```

Or if you are still at the error handler, just “Change command” to `true` or `:`.
