# Problem updating from stretch to buster

Hi, I’m using this [https://dietpi.com/docs/usage/#how-to-upgrade-to-buster](https://dietpi.com/docs/usage/#how-to-upgrade-to-buster) guide to update dietpi from stretch to buster. Everything works fine until I use "apt upgrade. I am in this situation:

basically everything is stuck now, I waited 1 hour and nothing moves. I closed the ssh session and used apt autoremove like it told me and found nothing to remove. I tried running again apt upgrade and the same problem occurs.

What should I do?

pls copy the output from SSH terminal and try to avoid screen prints

Solved: You basically just had to wait. I don’t know why the first time after 1 hour was still stuck. Tried again, 15 minutes and it worked.

probably your system selected a slow download server and it took time to download all packages.
