Pipewire setup help needed

Hi, would like to optionally be able to send browser sound from my desktop linux to my dietpi.
From what i understand pipewire would be the way to go nowadays or does dietpi offer packages for that.

And if it is pipewire do we have a howto that is not a head scratcher? :joy:

If you use pulseaudio on your desktop you can stream it via that through your network to the Pi.

Not looking for a media system, i do have kodi and ympd.
Just sometimes iā€™d like to stream sound from desktop for stuff like soundcloud

I remember getting this to work after few head scratches, few years ago, then my sd crashed >.<

Maybe the easiest would be to stream it via VLC from one to another machine, but you need a capture device which capures your desktop / browser audio.

Thanks but i would rather go the pulse way when i find the time, heck even try to get pure pipewire setup working, since kodi is running 24/7 and not a friend of reboot switcheroo.

From my limited linux audio understanding, pipewire is going to replace pulseaudio right? Just not sure if kodi, ympd will brake when trying to get just pipewire working but we got backups for that i guess :joy:
