I am looking for advise for the following.
I have running Nextcloud on rp3 with remote access from outside LAN. Works great.
I am wondering if it is possible to install along this a samba server that would run parallel without remote access, only for LAN.

That’s not a problem. Both application are completely independent from each other and can be used in parallel.
Just to be sure: runs parallel without flaws and that samba is not accessible from outside unless setup so.
Correct, each applied is running on it’s own port. As long as you don’t forward the samba port to the internet, samba should not be reachable from outside world.
