# myMPD database error FLAC special characters

### Creating a bug report/issue

I have searched the existing open and closed issues

#### Required Information

- DietPi version | v9.6.1
- Distro version | bookworm 0
- Kernel version | 6.1.21-v8+l
- Architecture | arm64
- SBC model | RPi 3 Model B (aarch64)
- Power supply used | Official
- SD card used | SanDisk

#### Additional Information (if applicable)

- Software title | myMPD
- Fresh install

#### Steps to reproduce

1. Add FLAC audio files to myMPD database.
2. File names include number and special characters.
3. And / or the metadata includes custom properties.

#### Expected behaviour

- Audio / Music added to the myMPD library.

#### Actual behaviour

- Nothing. myMPD will only accept FLAC files where the file names have been stripped of special characters. Also necessary to remove any custom properties from the metadata.

#### Extra details

- myMPD will happily accept MP3 files with names which include numbers and special characters. Unfortunately my music collection is 99%+ FLAC.

Not sure if we can do anything on this. Probably something to check with app development.
