Just updated 6.11 to 6.12, after reboot my mpd.conf was overwritten by new one. Is there an option to preserve mpd settings while updating dietpi? Thanks!
I think this is something we have to resolve in the code. Usually we do not reinstall software on DietPi update, so no files will be overwritten, but with v6.12 made some software titles use their own user instead of root for security, which needed reinstallation.
We really need to make the installer backup existing config files, which is not yet done on every case. I will open some github ticket about it.
Until then and anyway: Always use dietpi-backup before updating and other larger tasks.
