Hi, I’m looking for guidance on this issue:
I have a raspi 3B+ where I just installed dietpi following a nth 7 flashes of death issue.
The raspi sees between 1 and 5 power outages / year and when that happens, it is common for it to produce a “kernel not found” kind of issue leading into the 7 green flashes upon reboot, meaning it’s dead until 1/you fix the boot partition and/or its files, or 2/reinstall the system.
This time I decided to install dietpi and it’s been great.
There is one thing though: I read today that to prevent the boot partition issue, one can set up the boot partition to read-only using raspi-config.
I have seen dietpi mounts /boot in rw mode.
Is it OK to move the mount of /boot to read-only ?
What is the cleanest way to do so ? Using dietpi-drive_manager ?
Are there any caveats ?
