#### Steps to reproduce

1. Imaged SSD with Etcher
2. Logged in as root. Did all recommended updates etc
3. Installed MotionEye
4. Install Cameras
5. Reboot system
6. Motion Eye is dead

#### Expected behaviour

- .MotionEye restarts after reboot or power cycle

#### Actual behaviour

- If I reboot BEFORE Camera installs MotionEye restarts normally
- If I reboot AFTER Camera installs MotionEye not only fails to restart, but requires a complete uninstall and reinstall to get the system back…

#### Extra details

- currently supporting 9 Cameras. 3 from Octoprint Servers, 6 others from rtsv security cameras around the house.
- All camera’s record (motion based) to the 1T SSD
- 4 of the camera’s report motion to HA via MQTT calls.

System works fine, right up till you need to boot the system…

Plus try to stick to one platform as you opened same issue on GitHub [MotionEye fails to restart after reboot. · Issue #6896 · MichaIng/DietPi · GitHub](https://github.com/MichaIng/DietPi/issues/6896)

I can confirm this also happens on the X86-64 (PC) image too.

Use the software installer to install motion eye…
Add camera’s from the Web interface…
Reboot the PC

Dead motion eye. (corrupted)

Sorry about that, not sure where it is best to post something like this. I’m brand new to dietpi… Love the easy to use interface.

Solution provided at this github link above.

Issue is with the Backup and Recovery system built into MotionEye.
Nothing wrong with the DietPi system or software install.
