Feature request - cloudshell XU4

Thanks John, \040 looking good.

I’ve updated the Cloudshell script. There was an issue with it failing to correctly handle storage paths with whitespace in them. Hopefully this fixes the ‘mount not active’ aswell.

Please run the following to update DietPi-Cloudshells:

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Fourdee/DietPi/testing/dietpi/dietpi-cloudshell -O /DietPi/dietpi/dietpi-cloudshell

Restart DietPi-Cloudshell and let me know how it goes.

Thanks John.

HI Fourdee,

Again thanks for your efforts with this but still the same I am afraid with the “Mount not active” message.

It is not always there and mostly affects the rootfs drive. The numbers are fine it’s just this message.

John

Hi John,

Really bizarre, if anything the obtained values should be incorrect for the following mounts (due to whitespace):

192.168.1.4:/Multimedia/Music/John's iTunes/Music
192.168.1.4:/TV Series
192.168.1.4:/TV Documentaries
192.168.1.4:/Music Videos

in FSTAB I commented out the shares with spaces in their names, rebooted, and no “Mount not active” message.

Just wondering if this is caused by the above. Leave it with me

Hi Fourdee,

I only display the stats for three drives on the Cloudshell display and they are all attached to the XU4 - an eMMC, a USB flash and an SSD inside the case - not any of the shares on the QNAP.

John

Hi John,

Appreciate your patience with this. Unfortunately, Its going to be trial and error testing on this one, as I cant replicate.

Lets try invoking Sync and POSIX output from df. Please download the latest version, reboot and test, let us know results:

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Fourdee/DietPi/testing/dietpi/dietpi-cloudshell -O /DietPi/dietpi/dietpi-cloudshell

Thanks John

HI Fourdee,

Thanks for your continued efforts with this - unfortunately this version does not show any info at all - just N/A and Mount not active.

It’s putting a “mount not found” message in the log every few seconds.

John

Hi John,

I’ve added additional debugging (logging) code to dietpi-cloudshell. Please can you update your version, reboot, and test:

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Fourdee/DietPi/testing/dietpi/dietpi-cloudshell -O /DietPi/dietpi/dietpi-cloudshell

When the scene fails to pull the drive data, please make a rough note of the time, then upload /var/log/dietpi-cloudshell.log to pastebin so I can check results.

Thanks John.

HI FOurdee,

Thanks again - I’ll just post a section of the log here:

Tue 13 Dec 06:43:24 NZDT 2016 | Mount not found:

  • Index = 2

  • Path = /mnt/usb_2

Tue 13 Dec 06:43:24 NZDT 2016 | Mount not found:

  • Index = 3

  • Path = /mnt/usb_3

Tue 13 Dec 06:44:06 NZDT 2016 | Mount not found:

  • Index = 0

  • Path = /

Tue 13 Dec 06:44:06 NZDT 2016 | Mount not found:

  • Index = 1

  • Path = /mnt/usb_1

Tue 13 Dec 06:44:11 NZDT 2016 | Mount not found:

  • Index = 2

  • Path = /mnt/usb_2

Tue 13 Dec 06:44:11 NZDT 2016 | Mount not found:

  • Index = 3

  • Path = /mnt/usb_3

Think i’ve found the cause, leave it with me, will attempt fix

Hi John,

Please try this updated version and let me know if ‘mount not found’ reoccurs:

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Fourdee/DietPi/testing/dietpi/dietpi-cloudshell -O /DietPi/dietpi/dietpi-cloudshell

Restart service

systemctl restart dietpi-cloudshell

Hi Fourdee,

Thanks again - I’m on holiday so can’t see the display, it’s a few 1000 kms away - I’ll check it out when I get home.

John

Hi John,

No worries, hopefully your somewhere nice and warm, and over the xmas period?

Does Hawaii count? It’s cooler here than in NZ

Hi Fourdee,

Now on v140 and cloudshell display working 100% - thanks for this and have a great Christmas.

John

Excellent. Did this also fix the “mount not found issue”?
