Dietpi on Desktop

I try to install dietpi on a desktop server, without success.

So I abandoned

But why it’s so hard to install it?

Would be good to share some more details if you are looking for help. At least an error message, what you have done, where it stuck or what the issue is exactly.

If the pre-build image is not working, did you tried using the PREP script? https://dietpi.com/docs/hardware/#make-your-own-distribution
