How do I install both ? I already have pie hole installed do I install diet pi on top of diet pi ? Is it dual boot where if I want to make changes on both ?
This a bit confusing can you post step by step what you have done so far?
What image did you install on the SD card etc?

If you want to use both, you first need to flash DietPi as OS. Then you can use dietpi-software to install Pi-hole.
The other way round, from whatever base image you using currently, you cannot install DietPi on it without loosing all additional software.
