# AUTO\_SETUP\_GLOBAL\_PASSWORD purpose?

I would like to setup DietPi OS on my RPi 4 with auto config but before, I would like to understand what is the goal of the AUTO\_SETUP\_GLOBAL\_PASSWORD label on the dietpi.txt file.

Can someone explain it to me please? Is it something like an alt. user made only to install software?

But on line **128** I changed the default user:

Is the **global password** set for the _AUTO\_SETUP\_AUTOSTART\_LOGIN\_USER_ too?

This is not working on an automated setup because of

The user needs to be exsiting already. Usually not the case on a new system
